The Rev. Kurt Krieger reported, “The plan is to use the funds to be able to do much more outreach with the community and fund some changes in the building to do more care of our community and neighborhood.” Krieger promised to shave and perform for the first time in drag at Missie B’s if they reached their goal.

Well, he accomplished it! It was a strong fund-raiser hosted by Dirty Dorothy and Michael Burnes, owner of Missie B’s, dressed as “Aunty M.” Through many generous donors at the raffle, matched by Burnes, they hit the $10,000 goal. And Krieger made good on his promise to perform in drag, to the delight of his congregation and fans at the bar that day.
