Tayside X Factor fans may still be reeling after local hero Jade Richards failed to make the cut — but Dundee designer Hayley Scanlan made sure the region was represented on the live shows by kitting out the contestants.
Tamera Foster and SeSe from girl band Miss Dynamix made it Scanlan Sunday with both acts sporting outfits from her HS collection.
And Saturday’s singer Vanessa White was also spotted wearing one of the designer’s leather pencil skirts as she performed with bandmates at London club G.A.Y.
Although it’s not the first time high profile celebrities have been seen in her designs, Hayley said it was “amazing” to see Tamera, SeSe and Vanessa all strutting their stuff in her clothes.
The former young fashion designer of the year took to social media to share photos of the singers.
She posted: “So we just spotted the front girl in Miss Dynamix wearing HS cobalt T-shirt dress and HS black patent bomber jacket tonight on X-Factor live show!
“And backstage on X-Factor tonight we also spy the beautiful Tamera wearing HS fishnet dress. Woohoo!
“Our third and final celeb wearing HS Queen of Hearts this weekend is Vanessa from The Saturdays in our red leatherette biker zipper pencil skirt. Amazing!”
Favourite to win Tamera Foster, showed off her figure in one of Scanlan’s fishnet T-shirt dresses while she had her make-up done backstage.
The 16-year-old’s outfit comes from the Queen of Hearts range.
Tamera performed Chaka Khan’s famous hit Ain’t Nobody the previous night, while fellow Scanlan fans Miss Dynamix sang the Pointer Sisters’ Jump.
The girl group made up of Jeanette, Rielle and SeSe were thrown together by mentor Gary Barlow at boot camp.
SeSe revealed on Saturday’s show she was pregnant but it didn’t stop the 22-year-old ramping up the glamour in an HS electric blue T-shirt dress and black bomber jacket.
Across town The Saturdays were promoting their latest single Disco Love at G.A.Y. in their own ‘80s-inspired performance.
Mollie, Una and Rochelle dazzled in their bright outfits and big hair but it was Vanessa who stole the show in her daring HS zip-detail pencil skirt.
She opted for a sexy ensemble, flashing a generous amount of thigh in the bright orange Queen of Hearts leather number.
With both Tamera and Miss Dynamix being saved by the public vote, and The Saturdays single making this week’s chart top five, the girls might put their weekend of success down to Scanlan’s talent in the style stakes.
