IN one of the most hotly anticipated events of the Perth Fashion Festival, designer to the stars Jaime Lee Major is set to reveal her collection at WA Museum's Hackett Hall tonight.

The PFF runway is predicted to explode with colour as models parade Major’s Light Magic Collection, inspired by the Neo-Gothic cathedrals of Europe.

Major has said she was inspired by the cathedrals stained glass windows, the visual artist worked the digital prints into a series of silhouettes including dramatic fishtailed gowns, silk tulle and French lace capes and trapeze-shaped baby doll shift dresses, encrusted with beads.

With no detail spared, some of the garments to be worn tonight to up to 700 hours of beading.

Perth Fashion Festival, which comprises 30 events, is expected to attract over 35,000 people until it ends on September 16.
