Ke$ha has been banned from playing a concert in Malaysia by authorities in majority Muslim country as they think it would hurt cultural and religious sensitivities.
Concert organiser Livescape said it got notification about the decision only the day before the gig that was to be held on Saturday at a stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
In a separate statement, the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia said it was rejecting the application for Ke$ha to perform for reasons of religion and culture however they would not go into more detail.
Her songs often make reference to sex and alcohol and she dons controversial outfits on stage.

Ke$ha’s camp had apparently agreed to change the show in Malaysia, by modifying her song lyrics and ensembles, to comply with the government's general guidelines for performers, according to Livescape.
However the offer was still rejected and Livescape said it was losing more than $350,000 because of the ban.
The company wants the Malaysian government to "engage in a productive dialogue" with concert promoters to prevent this happening again.
Malaysian officials stopped a performance by American metal band Lamb of God last month, insisting the Grammy-nominated group's work was blasphemous.
