Horse rides, birds of prey, doves, ice sculptures and even a snake featured in a Stroud couple’s wedding - and it will be screened on TV on Friday.
When Jodie Townsend and Faye Jotham-Townsend tied the knot, they didn’t do it by halves - their Channel 5 celebrity wedding planners laid on a lavish ceremony and reception at Tortworth Court near Wotton-under-Edge.

The couple, from Stroud, were picked from thousands who applied to the show - and ended up with Geordie Shore stars Charlotte Crosby and Gaz Beadle organising their big day.
“They gave us everything we wanted,” said Jodie, 36, who admitted that he didn’t know who the celebrities were at first. “It was definitely worth it. We got a wedding we could never have dreamed off.

“We’re certainly never going to forget it.”
Armed with Faye’s wish for a vintage and shabby chic feel to the ceremony, and Jodie’s desire for a sharp suit, Charlotte and Gaz splashed at least £12,000 on a wedding beyond their wildest imaginations.
The celebrities’ brash style from the streets of Newcastle was in stark contrast to the couple who grew up in the Stroud valleys, so there was some apprehension as the Geordie pair threw themselves in to planning the big day - and in to Faye’s underwear drawer.
Everything from the wedding dress, breakfast, venue, transport, rings, flowers, hair, make-up and stag and hen parties was laid on by the show.
“I had a brilliant stag do,” said Jodie. “It was two days long and they took us out for meals and parties and activities like quad biking. I think Faye’s hen do didn’t go quite so well though.”
He said the £12,000 budget appeared to have been passed with ease - children could take horse rides while guests dined, and there were appearances from birds of prey, doves, and even a snake.
The huge yellow and white creature appeared at the party in the evening, draped across the bride and groom.
It all started when Faye emailed the show after seeing an advert in a magazine, and before they knew it, they were on the show.
Jodie, who has daughter Millie, eight; and Faye, who has daughter Megan, nine, and son Lewis, seven, are expecting a baby just before Christmas.
The episode of Celebrity Wedding Planner featuring Faye and Jodie will be screened on Friday night at 10pm.
