The singer, who will open the awards ceremony with her latest single "Unconditionally," hit the red carpet outside of the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles. The show airs on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC (check local listings).

On the red carpet, Perry wore a black floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown. The sheer, strapless dress featured white polka dots throughout the number, as well as embroidered roses scattered around the skirt of the gown.

The dress also matched the singer's nails, painted with similar black and white polka dot designs.

Perry was also carrying a yellow Webster's Dictionary clutch purse and completed her look with shoulder-length curly hair 'do and bold red lipstick.

The singer gave fans following her on Twitter a glimpse of what her performance of the song "Unconditionally" will look like during the live broadcast on ABC, sharing a photo of her white and floral custom microphone with her more than 47 million Twitter followers.

"A clue to the theme of my AMA performance this evening! I will be OPENING the show & taking you on a trip," Perry tweeted with a photo of her microphone.
