While Katy Perry is kicking off the night with her new single "Unconditionally," and Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, One Direction and Christina Aguilera will also be performing, we have a feeling that Gaga and Cyrus will steal the show with their over-the-top performances.
Meat dresses, seashell bras, burning pianos and fake blood, foam fingers, barely there bikinis, latex-clothed little people … we're wondering how they're going to top their previous awards show performances, but Gaga, who'll be singing "Do What U Want" with R. Kelly, gave a hint of what's to come.
The singer, 27, who was sidelined after hip surgery earlier this year, Tweeted on Friday. "Danced in heels ALL day, I REPEAT I am currently approaching full capacity heel usage post op. WORK IT GRANMA get those 4 inches!"
Meanwhile, Cyrus is closing the show with the final performance of the night. The "Wrecking Ball" singer, who celebrated her 21st birthday on Saturday, was on vocal rest last week. "I'm so tired," she Tweeted on Monday. "But there's more werk to be done before @TheAMAs."
Tune in to see what happens when they take the stage at the AMAs on Sunday on ABC at 8/7c.
