Grand Theft Auto V has millions of fans but it seems that that Lindsay Lohan isn't one of them. A new report says that the actress has ordered her lawyers to take action against GTA 5 developer/publisher Rockstar Games.

TMZ says that Lohan's lawyers are planning to sue Rockstar because they used her image without her permission. They provided three examples of the offense:

"The video game cover shows a woman holding a cellphone who looks Lindsay-ish. There's been debate over whether it looks more like Kate Upton or Shelby Welinder."

If by "Lindsay-ish," you mean youngish woman who owns a cellphone and has blond hair, then sure. By that definition, there are a few million "Lindsay-ish" women out there. I wonder if they're all suing Rockstar, too.

One of the many "Lindsay-ish" women on Earth is Shelby Welinder, the model that the GTA 5 cover girl is based on. Yes, it was based on a photo of a real girl rather than a Photoshopped picture of Lohan. She's a professional model rather than a professional Lohan impersonator so I think that ought to be enough to nullify this particular bit of "evidence."

"Part of the game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to take her home and escape the paparazzi."

While Lohan might be hounded by the paparazzi like this GTA 5 character, the connection is pretty flimsy. Lohan's far from the only celebrity being chased around by the paparazzi. There are many, and a whole lot of them are young ladies.

"Another part of the game shows another Lindsay-like character at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood -- a place Lindsay not only frequents but once lived at -- and the mission is to photograph her having sex on camera."

The character in question is Poppy Mitchell, an actress who was introduced in GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony. She's known for being in family-friendly movies but has a wild streak. That describes Lohan pretty well but it describes a whole lot of other former child stars, too. There's little about Poppy to suggest that she's specifically supposed to be Lindsay Lohan instead of any number of other substance-abusing celebs.

TMZ report notes that there's no word on how Rockstar will respond to the lawsuit. I'm guessing their response will start with "fuck" and end with "off." Lohan's alleged lawsuit doesn't seem to have any legs whatsoever.
