Jeff Koons has immortalized some pretty famous pop culture icons in his art — the most recent being Lady Gaga — so when he met baby North West at Art Basel in Miami Beach Thursday (December 5) we couldn't help but wonder: Will not-America's baby be next?
Art fest Art Basel is currently in full swing and, according to Kim Kardashian's Instagram, her and Kanye's baby North West is already mingling with luminaries. She snapped the above picture of North mugging next to artist Jeff Koons, who designed Lady Gaga's ARTPOP album cover as well as a massive statue of the singer.
The caption on the photo? "Art lessons!" Perhaps Koons will teach North all about the "transcendent" quality of the gazing ball, as he explicated once to MTV News.
Continuing the recent trend of musicians hooking up with the art world — see Gaga and Koons, Jay Z and Marina Abramović — KimYe is currently down at Basel to both socialize and, in Kanye's case, contribute.
Kanye teamed up with artist and frequent collaborator Vanessa Beecroft Wednesday (December 4) night for a performance art piece where a group of women stood naked, covered in clay. He also participated in Surface Magazine's "Design Dialogues" series.

No stranger to the art world, Kanye also recently commissioned Andy Warhol's cousin Monica to paint a picture of wife-to-be Kim. Perhaps Koons can round out the family portrait with a piece inspired by baby North West? We think she'd fit perfectly into the artist's "Celebration" series ourselves.
