Is Justin Bieber serious about retiring, or is it just a ploy to promote his movie set to come out on Christmas Day?
For the second time in a week, the teen singer has said he’s calling it quits.
My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring
— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) December 25, 2013
He continued tweeting late into the night.
“The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle. Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER.”
Last week, the ‘Stratford Stud’ went on Los Angeles radio station Power 106 and hinted at an early retirement.
“New album … uh … I’m actually retiring, man,” Bieber said on the show. “I’m retiring, yeah.”
Gossip monger Perez Hilton speculated that this is all just a publicity stunt.
“Sadly, Bieber retiring is just a pathetic publicity stunt for his new documentary movie, which comes out tomorrow,” Hilton tweeted.
Thousands of responses poured in after the tweet, many thankful for the early Christmas gift, while others saw it as Bieber just trying to upstage Jesus on his birthday.
Wait is Justin bieber really quitting? If so, it's a true Christmas miracle

“@RayBaby817: I don't understand why justin bieber is trying to take attention away Jesus' birth” ๐

Unfortunately, the response started to take a turn for the worse, when teen fans started submitting photos of cuts on their arms, and #cutforbieber started trending in Canada.
