Yesterday, Kate Middleton attended the royal family's traditional Christmas service in a tartan Alexander McQueen coat and a jaunty new hat by Gina Foster. She walked hand in hand with Wills, which, the BBC points out, is not part of the royal tradition, but left baby George at home, probably surrounded by his new Christmas toys, watching Home Alone. Kate has worn this festive outfit before: She sported the same plaid coat and heeled suede boot ensemble to play field hockey during a visit to St. Andrews. Her hair, meanwhile, looked decidedly undroopy beneath the fascinator — Kate probably took one look at Harry's South Pole beard and knew she had to really bring her hair game this year.
