Burglars broke into Keri Russell's Brooklyn Heights home while she was sleeping Wednesday morning, according to People.com

"The break-in did happen," Russell's rep told the website. "Everyone is fine, and Keri sends her thanks to the police."

Someone took a laptop, jewelry and purse around 3 a.m. Wednesday, the Associated Press reported. Russell, 37, was initially asleep. She woke up to hear footsteps and voices in the apartment and then called 911.

They were talking? Everyone knows you aren't supposed to talk when you break into a celebrity's house.

Russell didn't see the intruders. Police said she found a window and front door open and her items missing.

Nearby, a 70-year-old neighbor awoke to find a burglar inside and called 911 with a description, according to AP. The New York Daily News reported that police found and arrested an alleged uncle-nephew cat burglar team, as well as recovered some of Russell's stolen property.

On Thursday, the actress told the New York Post that the police were "awesome. They're bringing my stuff back right now. When does that ever happen?"

What else would they do with it? Sell it?

Later, as she was carrying her youngest child outside her home, Russell told reporters, "Everything's OK" and "The police were so great. ... They were so fast."
