Actress Alicia Rhett, one of the few surviving cast members of the Oscar-winning classic 'Gone With The Wind', passed away at the age of 98.


The actress died on January 3 at her retirement home in Charleston, South Carolina, where she had been living since 2002, reported Daily Mirror.


Rhett, who was born in Savannah, , played Wilkes in the classic 1939 film and later became an artist, voice coach.


Gifted with artistic hands, she often sketched her fellow actors on the set.


After the success of 'Gone With The Wind', Rhett left Hollywood and returned to South Carolina.


The actress quit Hollywood in 1941, citing lack of suitable roles.


She later became an accent coach for aspiring actors and a radio announcer.
