Is it time for a new Governator?
There has been a space for an action movie star in US politics since the departure of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Governor of California.
But it appears that vacancy may soon be filled, but fellow action star Steven Seagal.
Seagal, the colourful and sometimes controversial actor, martial artist, guitarist, producer, writer and deputy sheriff has said he is considering adding a new feather to his cap with a tilt at Arizona governor.
In a move that would mirror the Terminator star, who held his post in California for more than seven years, 61-year-old Seagal told KNXV-TV he was considering running for the state's highest office.
Later, in an interview with ABC15 he said the comment was originally meant as a joke, although he still considered it a possibility.
"I suppose I would remotely consider it but probably I would have a lot more other responsibilities ... that may be more important to address," Seagal said.
It would be the latest in a long list of flamboyant roles for the actor, known for his antics.
