Carrie Underwood is nothing if not consistent when it comes to her red-carpet fashion.

On Tuesday night, the country singer stole the show yet again as she attended the TJ Martell Foundation 38th Honors Gala in New York City.

The star simply shone in her intricately embellished tea-length gown, which featured a white skirt with floaty sheer blue tulle overlay.

The standout frock was perfectly modest with its round neckline and capped sleeves, but the masses of matching blue sparkly sequins that were arranged into floral and butterfly designs gave the appearance of the Blue Fairy from Disney's Pinocchio.

Standing at a petite 5ft 3in, the stunning blonde added some height to her frame with beige stilettos which gave the illusion of lengthening her legs.

A matching beige clutch that was jazzed up with plenty of pretty crystals completed her look, while she chose to forgo any distracting jewellery and kept it simple with just small diamond studs and, of course, her stunning wedding and engagement rings.

The 30-year-old wore her long golden tresses back in a loosely curled low chignon and kept her make-up bronzed and natural, only playing up her eyes with a heavy slick of liner.

The 12-time CMT Award and six-time Grammy Award winner was proud to be honoured at the event with the 2013 Artist Achievement Award.

She was joined at the event held at the famous Cipriani restaurant by fellow award recipient John Sykes, the president of Clear Channel Entertainment.

The businessman looked suave in his black suit, crisp white shirt and maroon and gold spotted tie ahead of receiving his Lifetime Music Industry Achievement Award.

Founded by Tony Martell in 1975 in honour of his son, the TJ Martell Foundation is the music industry's 'largest foundation that funds innovative medical research focused on finding cures for leukemia, cancer and AIDS'.

Since its humble beginnings, the foundation has raised more than $250 million, with research earmarked for 12 hospitals across the States.

'When I started this Foundation with several of my peers in the music and entertainment business in honor of my son, TJ, I wanted to do all that I could to make sure other families would not have to suffer the way my family did,' Tony said in a statement.

'We are thrilled to honor Carrie Underwood with this year’s Artist Achievement Award.'

Honorees: Also being honoured at the bash was John Sykes, the president of Clear Channel Entertainment, who looked dapper in his black suit as he cosied up to the star before being awarded the Lifetime Music Industry Achievement Award
