Lady Gaga Furious Over Company Trying to Trademark "GagaJeans" - Cambio

Lady Gaga is furious with a clothing company, which she accuses of trying to sell jeans using her name...or part of it, anyway.

The "GagaJeans" are advertised as "sexitized easy access jeans," and uses the tagline "you might get caught with your pants unzipped, but you won't get caught with your pants down."

According to RadarOnline, the "Applause" singer isn't thrilled about any of it and had her attorneys send them a scathing letter, where they say that using her name, "is likely to cause confusion, mistake, and deception of consumers that Lady Gaga is affiliated with or has sponsored, endorsed, or is otherwise associated with your jeans, and is also likely to dilute the distinctiveness of our client's trademark."

They also accuse him of shady marketing tactics, such as commenting on Mother Monster's videos with a link to their site.

The attorneys have given the company until October 10 to ruminate on their letter and say that they will "proceed accordingly" if they don't abandon ship on the GagaJeans.

The designer has posted a response to the letter, saying he searched for the trademark and applied for it, denying any wrongdoing and accusing Gaga and her "fixers" of trying to force him to hand over all rights to her.

So, it doesn't sound like he's going to be backing down and with only 48 hours left, the clock is ticking.
