Three-month-old Prince George , who will one day be king, has made his second appearance in public on the occasion of his christening at the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge greeted the Archbishop of Canterbury outside the chapel, as the duke held his son in his arms.
George, who was wearing a replica of the intricate lace and satin christening gown made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841, was on his best behaviour as he stared curiously at his relatives as they chatted.
The ceremony at the Chapel Royal is a break from tradition. Past royal christenings have taken place at Buckingham Palace.
