Tropical Storm Karen has prompted organizers of the first annual Men Who Cook benefit for the Children's Advocacy Center - Hope House to postpone their event until Oct. 26. The fundraiser originally was scheduled to be held Oct. 5 in Covington.

The benefit will feature a host of celebrity chefs, partnered with restaurants from throughout the region, as well as complimentary beer and festive drinks, live music, a photo booth (so dress to impress), Mini- Cook-off Challenges, and Competition for Best Recipe and Top Chef, determined by tips tallied at the end of the evening.


It will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Top Level of the Parking Garage of the St Tammany Parish Justice Center (Courthouse) at 701 Columbia St., in Covington.
