Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" star Dylan Sprouse said Joe Jonas' recent essay in New York magazine is "bullsh--t."

The former child actor, who is now 21 and attending New York University, read Jonas' article "Joe Jonas: My Life As a Jonas Brother" in which he described his Disney fame as an experience that was both good and bad.

"Being a part of a company like that comes with certain expectations," wrote the 24-year-old singer, who starred in Disney's "Jonas L.A." with his brothers, Kevin and Nick. "Not overtly, but there was a subtle vibe."

Jonas, who is now working toward a solo music career, recalled being a part of the network in 2007 when nude photos of Vanessa Hudgens were released.

"We heard that she had to be in the Disney offices for a whole day because they were trying to figure out how to keep her on lockdown," he continued. "We'd hear execs talking about it, and they would tell us that they were so proud of us for not making the same mistakes."

According to the former member of the sibling trio, The Jonas Brothers, the pressures to not "disappoint anyone" were more than any young person should have had to endure.

"I think it's bulls--t that they were being robbed of choice or creativity," Sprouse wrote on his Tumblr page Monday. "If they wanted to, they could have told Disney 'NO.' Cole and I did this hundreds of times and we ended up all right."

Sprouse and his twin brother, Cole Sprouse, began acting on Disney in 2005 for their first series, which was followed by "The Suite Life on Deck" in 2008 to 2011, reports E! Online.

Now, the famous siblings have reportedly put acting on the back burner so they could pursue higher education. Sprouse's dismay at Jonas' remarks were from his firsthand experience at the network, which he describes as quite different from the singer's accounts.

"Like many of the people on that channel, I think they fell for the allure of fame," he added. "Granted, Cole and I had been acting our entire lives, so we saw it as a means to an end (money making) rather than an opportunity to become successful.

"Nowadays artists just assume they have to do what they are told by their proprietors because there is 'rigid structure to achievement,'" his lengthy response stated. "It is nothing more than a scheme to rob you of your individuality and capitalize the gain they acquire from such treachery. If you believe this, not only are you incredibly foolish, but you are a BAD ARTIST."

In conclusion, Sprouse added, "What that article felt like was: 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, still shame on you.'"
