Lindsay Lohan's family is denying a report that the actress was involved in an attack on Barron Hilton, brother of socialite Paris Hilton.
Hilton, 24, was assaulted at a party in Miami Beach on Friday, police told The Associated Press. The following day Hilton posted an Instagram photo of himself with several cuts on his face.
According to a police report, witnesses said the assailant wanted Hilton to leave a party and hit him with an unknown object. Neither Hilton nor two witnesses could identify the suspect, who fled in a dark green sport utility vehicle. Hilton refused treatment from fire-rescue workers.
The gossip website TMZ posted a 13-second video it said showed Lindsay Lohan exchanging heated words with Hilton immediately after the attack, but the face of the person identified as Hilton is not seen. The website reported that Hilton accused Lohan of arranging the attack because she believed he had insulted her.
Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, of Merrick, told Newsday that TMZ.com "doesn't have the facts. Everything they're saying is not based on fact."
Miami Police Dept. Public Information Officer Sgt. Freddie Cruz did not return a phone call seeking comment.
Meanwhile, a rep for the alleged assailant, identified as Ray Lemoine, told TMZ Lemoine is adamant that Lindsay Lohan had nothing to do with the incident and that Hilton got physical after being asked to leave and refusing to do so.
