NEW YORK, N.Y.—Lorde’s “Royals” could be crowned with Grammy gold.

The breakthrough singer will perform at the Grammy Awards nominations special on Friday in Los Angeles.

“This will be the greatest number of people to see her in one place at one time,” show producer Ken Ehrlich said in an interview Tuesday.

The 17-year-old New Zealand native released her debut, Pure Heroine, on Sept. 30 — the final day to be considered for Grammy nominations. “Royals” has held the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for nine weeks.

Lorde joins Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night, to be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

Robin Thicke will be joined by T.I. and members of Earth, Wind & Fire for “Blurred Lines,” the year’s longest running No. 1 hit. Keith Urban will take the stage with R&B singer Miguel to sing Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

“This is really Keith Urban’s idea,” Ehrlich said, who added that the country star was impressed with Miguel’s performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Rapper-actor LL Cool J will host the one-hour special, which will air on CBS starting at 10 p.m. EST.

The show will also feature pre-taped performances by Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
