Paul Walker touched a lot of people before his life was cut tragically short by a fiery car crash on Saturday, Nov. 30. Among those lucky enough to know and love the actor was Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA, who has written a song in the Fast & Furious star's memory. The earnest, moving track -- titled "Destiny Bends" -- was shared on Sunday, Dec. 1, one day after Walker died at age 40.

"I met Paul on the set of the film Brick Mansion, where we talked, laughed, and exchanged ideas of life and fatherhood," RZA (real name Robert Fitzgerald Diggs) wrote in a short post accompanying the audio. "I only knew him personally for less than a year, but we knew each other through our work and art."

"We saw in each other a kindred spirit of men coming from unlikely circumstances, and rising to be the light and beacon of our family and loved ones," he continued. "Men who learned the joy and pains of love in life, and success, while coming to realize that nothing is more important than family, friendship, and the brotherhood of humanity."

He went on: "Millions of people get to know an artist or movie star through their work, but few are allowed to cross each others' paths and see through the veil of stardom and find the common denominator that we share. As all physical things will decay and wither away, film, art, and music remain longer than the vessel that delivered them. In this vein, the one thing we can't take away or give back is time. So, thus, time is the most precious gift."

With that in mind, RZA said, he dedicated his time to memorializing Walker in music. "Destiny Bends" was written with the producer's two sons and performed by singer Will Wells. It includes references to the actor's daughter, 15-year-old Meadow, as well as to the car accident that ended his life.

"I thought we had another day to smile and to laugh in the wind / How can it end?" Wells sings. "I'm grateful to meet you, may we meet again / Paul, my friend / Paul, my friend / On that highway where heaven begins / I lost a friend."

"We dedicate it to Paul Walker. A good man," RZA wrote. "We had plans to continue working with each other in the future. It seemed destined, but 'destiny bends.'"
