Speculation was mounting that Kate's little sister and her beau had gotten engaged, but a source tells PEOPLE "it is not true."
The rumors heated up after Middleton, 30, took a trip to India earlier this month with her stockbroker boyfriend, 36, and reports claimed he'd popped the question.
The couple have been dating for a year and were first spotted together on a Middleton family vacation in Mustique in February, and they later hit the ski slopes of St. Moritz in March.
Jackson's mother has already met Prince William's sister-in-law, telling British media that Middleton "is absolutely charming."
"We’re very pleased," Ulrike Jackson said of the couple earlier this year. "They are happy, and that is all that matters."
