Honey Boo Boo’s family faced a scary reality Monday night when their SUV was slammed head on by a truck.
The collision sent several members of the Thompson family, the stars of TLC’s popular “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” to a local hospital in McIntyre, Ga., for treatment, gossip site TMZ reported.
The family car was making a left turn at a traffic light, sources told TMZ, when a truck coming in the opposite direction with no lights on struck the vehicle.
Honey Boo Boo herself, aka Alana Thompson, suffered a headache.

'It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck,' Mama June Thompson said in a statement Tuesday.
"As many of you have heard, we were in a car accident last night,” family matriarch Mama June, who suffered a back injury, said in a statement. “It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck.”
Mama June added that while family members are still sore a day after the accident, their top priority was to properly fete daughter Lauryn (Pumpkin) Thompson on her 14th birthday.
The birthday girl suffered severe chest bruises and panic attacks from the accident.
Father Sugar Bear was behind the wheel at the time of crash and reportedly suffered a back contusion. Older sister Jessica emerged unscathed, Pumpkin told TMZ.
