Drop everything, Marshmallows! The "Veronica Mars" movie trailer has arrived.

Kristen Bell is back and sassier than ever in the preview, which graced us with its presence Thursday (January 2).

It's been seven years since the cult favorite TV series aired its final episode, and boy have things changed. The spunky sleuth finds herself in quite the predicament as her longtime on-again off-again ex-boyfriend Logan Echolls (played by James Dohring) finds himself as the main suspect in the death of his pop-star girlfriend. And after what Echolls calls "nine years of radio silence," the two are reunited just as Veronica is getting comfortable with her life with Piz in New York City.

Alas, while we at MTV News had high hopes for an Amanda Seyfried and/or Don Cheadle cameo, neither make an appearance in the first promo. But we can keep dreaming!

"Veronica Mars," the movie, hits theaters on March 14.

Director Rob Thomas famously raised more than $5.7 million on the crowd sourcing site Kickstarter to finance the film, offering up incentives like exclusive swag, regular updates from the set, personal video greetings from the cast, red carpet premiere access and, for $10,000, a small speaking role in the film. Over the summer, fans and supporters were offered their first look at the film when Thomas, Bell and the rest of the cast unveiled footage at San Diego Comic Con.

"When do you ever get a chance to open up a script seven years later and read a fantastic script with the guys you love, with Veronica?" Dohring told MTV News at Comic-Con. "You start feeling the emotions all over again. Nobody gets that chance, you know what I mean? And it was done by the fans and for the fans."
