Simon Cowell ’s bachelor years will be coming to an end any day now.
Confidenti@l has learned that the “X Factor” judge will propose to his baby mama, Lauren Silverman , well before the birth of their son in February.
“It’s not a matter of if, it’s when,” one well-placed source tells us, adding that Silverman couldn’t be more excited to put a ring on it.
“Are you kidding? She’s couldn’t be happier,” says our source.
We’ve also learned that the 54-year-old Cowell will protect his fortune — and Lauren is fine with the prenup.
The two are staying at the Sandy Lane Resort on Barbados until the end of the week. Lauren’s mom, Carole Saland , who’s a big fan of Cowell’s, is vacationing with them.

In a move not so unusual for Cowell, he also brought along one of his ex-girlfriends, British singer Sinitta .
The chanteuse maintains that her relationship with the human Viagra pill is purely platonic, but she and Cowell did date on and off for nearly two decades — and the music mogul does like to surround himself with a harem of ex-girlfriends.
“We’re not all sleeping with him. It’s as bad as calling us his b—s,” she told the British tabloid The Sun this past fall. “The girls are all there with partners or as friends.”
Cowell and his current squeeze, who’s freshly divorced from real-estate developer Andrew Silverman , are excited to start their family together. Cowell is also planning on spending much more time in New York after the tot, already named Simon Eric, arrives.
“They’re looking for bigger apartments for themselves and the baby,” says our insider.
Of course, there’s still some trouble in paradise: Lauren’s divorce settlement bars Cowell from going anywhere near her 7-year-old son, Adam , for a year. If Cowell breaks the “stay away” clause, Lauren has to fork over $50,000 — though that’s couch-cushion change for Cowell.

Rapper Eve just got engaged to designer Maximillion Cooper, who, we hear, proposed on Christmas Day. Eve slyly announced the news via Instagram, where she posted a pic of herself wearing a sparkler on her left hand. “#familytime!!!! Me and my mom and my lil brother Farrod just got to the English country side. Feel so #blessed to be with my family and sharing my life here. I pray that you bring 2014 in with people you #love. And nothing but #good #energy.”

Gimme more! Britney Spears was too busy lip-syncing to fix her wardrobe malfunction while onstage in Las Vegas. The “Toxic” singer’s dress popped open in back, and almost came completely off, in the middle of a number. Thankfully, a backup dancer came to the rescue, buttoning her up in time to continue the musical charade.

A MUSICAL FIT FOR CAROLE KING
Neil Diamond is a huge Carole King fan. The legendary pop singer was spotted this week at the new Broadway jukebox bio-musical, “Beautiful,” a spy tells us, and he was on his feet cheering. He later told autograph seekers that King would love the show, and especially her onstage Doppelgänger, Jessie Mueller . King has said repeatedly that she will not see the musical — which depicts her rise from obscurity to her partnership with and divorce from Gerry Goffin and the classic album “Tapestry” — because it would be too emotional for her.
