THERE are a few sore heads in Hollywood today after the stars partied long and hard at the post Emmy events.

After the awards, all 3800 guests headed to the Governor's Ball before sneaking off to parties being hosted by rival networks such as Fox, AMC and HBO.

Here are the 10 most interesting things that happened at the celebrity soirees:

The Emmy winners lined up at the back of the room at the Governor's Ball to get their statues engraved with their names.

Julia Louis Dreyfus couldn't stop smiling!

The VEEP star was hugging anyone and everyone after earlier winning the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Jessica Mauboy wowed the crowd at the Governor's Ball, singing on top of the two-tiered stage in front of Hollywood's biggest stars.

She later took to Instagram to say "Tonight was amazing!"

Everyone wanted a piece of Bryan Cranston.

The Breaking Bad star was mobbed all night and asked for photos after earlier missing out on Lead Actor in a Drama Series to Jeff Daniels.

Sofia Vergara was a dancing machine. The Modern Family actor was the Queen of the d-floor at several of the after parties and was understandably a little wobbly on her feet towards the end of the night.

Here are 12 photos of Vergara looking incredible. You're welcome

Will Arnett lit up the room, thanks to his over-the-top fake tan.

The Arrested Development star was grumpy all night after an awkward moment on the red carpet earlier in the day.

Arnett was asked how he and his wife, Amy Poehler, prepped for the big night.

Unfortunately the interviewer wasn't aware that the couple divorced in September last year, leaving the 43-year-old actor to comment, "I don't really have a significant other … She doesn't exist."

Even celebrities get star struck.

Modern Family's Nolan Gould was just one of the many guests who spent the night trying to meet their acting idols.

The most important thing at the after parties is not to have fun, but to look good.

Earlier in the evening, How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan revealed how she maintained a flawless dress while in transit.

Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler hosted their own "Losers" party (oh, to be a fly on the wall).

It seems this was the party everyone wanted to be at (we'd crawl over broken glass to go to a party with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey).

Poehler showed she was also just a fan, when she was spotted taking photos with legend Bob Newhart.

Celebrities, they're just like us.

Sort of.

Mick Jagger proved once and for all that he is the coolest person on earth.

Demonstrating that a Rolling Stone gathers no moss, the 70-year-old rocker partied into the wee hours at HBO's post Emmys bash.
