The recent World of Luxury event, organised by The Hindu group of publications, showcased a range of high-end products

World of Luxury, a recent event, organised by The Hindu group of publications, saw reputed brands converge at the Leela Palace celebrating luxury in every form. The event provided a platform for top brands and labels to showcase their latest, including watches, cars, jewellery, beauty and skincare products, fashionwear, designer saris, high-end properties and more.

Showcased was an array of watches from Helvetica and Raymond Weil, luxury cars such as Jaguar and Volvo, jewellery collections from Amrapali, Studio Tara and Surendra, designer saris by Lakshmi and Satya Paul, cosmetics from Estee Lauder and more. High-end living spaces from Olympia, Mantri, Raj Waterscapes and Chisel Homes were also on view.

As the evening progressed, the guests were treated to a fashion show. The show opened with a dazzling sequence from Amrapali, the bespoke jewellery label, displaying finely-crafted kadas, jhumkas, earrings and necklaces.

The next sequence was by Horology (Helvetica Group) featuring watches. Models wearing luxury watches also showcased the five editions of The Hindu World of Luxury magazine for the audience. The Hindu WL Magazine is a monthly showcase of the world’s premier brands, with special focus on key luxury events.

The Autumn Winter 2013 collection of Satya Paul, designed by Masaba Gupta, brought the event to a close. The collection titled ‘Old Streets’, radiated dramatic exuberance with its funky prints in entrancing hues ranging from neon and orange to pink. Models sashayed down the ramp sporting maxi and mini dresses, gowns, palazzo pant saris and printed blouses in lipstick prints. Ink blots was a leitmotif of the collection.

Phoenix Market City was the Luxury Mall Partner for the event.
