Rihanna is usually seen flashing as much flesh as possible, but this weekend she covered up in traditional Arab dress while visiting a mosque in Abu Dhabi.

The pop superstar posed for a number of high fashion snaps outside the picturesque Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque on Saturday (19 October) and showed her respect for Middle Eastern culture by covering her body from head to toe..

She donned a black headscarf and an all-back jumpsuit, which resembled the burqa that is worn in Islamic traditions to keep women covered in public.

However, not one to keep things simple, RiRi also donned a gold statement necklace and upped the ante with a dramatic red lip and smoky eye make-up.

The 25-year-old captioned one of the snaps: "Fashion Killaz in Abu Dhabi."

Since she was abiding by the norms of local culture, Rihanna also covered up later that evening for her performance in the United Arab Emirates.

Though she is usually spotted on stage wearing very little, this time RiRi kept her breasts and bum concealed in a white bodysuit, baggy cotton trousers and a white jacket.

She also covered her head again by sporting a white baseball cap with material attached to the back in a traditional Arab headdress style.

Rihanna is currently jetting across the globe as part of her 'Diamonds' world tour.

Last week, she visited South Africa and took time out of her busy touring schedule to go on safari and cuddle up to a lion cub.

She has teased her fans too by releasing the striking cover art for her latest single 'What Now'.
