Singer Kelly Clarkson (right) said she and her husband Brandon Blackstock are trying ‘like rabbits’ to get pregnant and have a baby. Blackstock already has two children.
Kelly Clarkson isn't just hopping around like a rabbit from the joys of marriage. The newlywed is hoping to become a mother soon.
The 31-year-old singer opened up about the next steps of her relationship with husband Brandon Blackstock when she appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Monday. Clarkson admitted they want to have a baby and have been trying "like rabbits" since their Oct. 20 wedding.
"Practice makes perfect!" she confessed. "We're trying, trying, trying."
But Leno wasn't satisfied with Clarkson's admission of their attempts at parenthood. He wanted to know the real deal.
"Are you pregnant now?" he asked.
"I always get these stars who come on and go, 'I'm thinking about having a baby,' and then the next week they go on 'Ellen' and announce it there," Leno added, hoping he'd get the first scoop on the possible Clarkson-Blackstock baby news.

Kelly Clarkson appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to chat about what’s on her Christmas list: a baby!
"We are not announcing anything right now!" she said adding that she became a stepmother to Blackstock's two children -- Savannah, 11, and Seth, 7 -- once their relationship took a serious turn.
"We have two kids," Clarkson said. "And they're so great. And I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five."

In fact, a little one is on the top of the "American Idol" alum's Christmas wish list, although she previously viewed herself as too selfish to ever become a mother.
"I'm kind of selfish with my career," she admitted in a recent radio interview.
That all changed when she took on the role of stepmom and now wife.
"Going to soccer games with Seth and doing homework with Savannah -- I just really love it y'all," she detailed. "It's so cool. It sounds so cheesy but it's such a bigger point to life. I really lucked out with the whole kid situation. They're amazing."
Still, Clarkson remains focused on her career for the moment as she recently released "Wrapped in Red," a Christmas album, which includes holiday classics and new merry favorites.
