Prince William is headed back to school.
The Duke of Cambridge will take a 10-week course in agricultural management at the University of Cambridge, reports Kensington Palace.
The custom program of seminars, lectures and meetings that is set to begin in early January and run until mid-March.
The Palace says the course "has been designed to help provide The Duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom." The course is expected to give him a foundation for when he takes over the Duchy of Cornwall, a huge agricultural operation, from Prince Charles when he becomes King.
Prince William, who welcomed a son, Prince George, with wife Kate Middleton in July, left service in the Royal Armed Forces in September after more than seven-and-a-half years of full-time military service.
Kensington Palace says that the Duke is "considering a number of options for public service," which will be announced at a later date.
