Most guys wouldn’t know what to do after their wife left them.

But when Kevin Cotter’s wife of 12 years left him, he found 101 things to do and a way to make money off the failed marriage.

When his wife decided to leave him in 2009, she moved her belongings out of their home in Tuscon, AZ, leaving only one thing behind: her wedding dress.

When Kevin asked her what he should do with the nearly $1,000 dress, she said, “Whatever the @%^A# you want.”

“After my brother, sister-in-law, and parents made some offbeat suggestions for what I should do with the dress at dinner one night, I decided to see exactly what it was capable of,” he writes in his blog titled, “My Ex-Wife’s Wedding Dress[1] .”

Apparently the dress is capable of a lot. When his brother asked Kevin to go hunting the next month, there was no question on his mind as to what he would be wearing.

But that was just the beginning: the versatile dress has already been used as a hammock, a yoga mat, a failed slip and slide and jump rope.

Perhaps the best use for the wedding dress was as a moneymaker. Kevin decided to inspire others by writing a book called “101 Uses for My Ex-Wife’s Wedding Dress,” based on the uses he’s already tried out and people’s suggestions they have left on his blog.

Of course not everyone commends Kevin for his creativity. One commentator on his YouTube channel[2] wrote, "Not cool. Not cool. Heard of Goodwill?"

But ever the optimist, Kevin writes on his blog, “My marriage didn’t last forever but this dress just might.”

The divorcee turned writer insists that he’s not insane.

“And I can back that up with a statement from my therapist,” he writes in his book.
