The Jonas Brothers have officially broken up.

This is where I don't make a sarcastic remark because: A) Too many females on this planet can crush me in hand-to-hand combat and B) The Internet makes it really easy to find where someone lives these days.

According to E! News, the guys made the official announcement Tuesday, just less than three weeks after they canceled their fall tour due to "a deep rift within the band."

"It's over for now," said 25-year-old Kevin Jonas, who is expecting his first child with wife Danielle Jonas. Drummer and 21-year-old vocalist Nick Jonas said, "It's really hard to say 'forever,'" he says. "We're closing a chapter, for sure."

Smell that? That's the aroma of the truckloads of money to be made on a 2016 reunion tour.

Nevertheless, the boys decided to split Oct. 3 when Nick shared his serious concerns about their future. "I was feeling kind of trapped," he told People.com. "I needed to share my heart with my brothers."

However, Joe Jonas said Nick merely voiced what they all were feeling. "It was a unanimous decision," the 24-year-old singer told People.com.

Since signing to Hollywood Records in 2005, the trio has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, starred in two "Camp Rock" movies and headlined their own Disney Channel show. In 2009, Nick formed his own blues rock band, called Nick Jonas and the Administration.

But, of course, there is hope. Just last week, Nick tweeted, "Please hold while we get our (expletive) together. Bear with us."
