Check Out 1D's new single "Story of My Life."
It’s finally here! One Direction just released their new highly anticipated single “Story of My Life” today and the song is already shocking fans. “Story of My Life” is a more emotional ballad from the boy band. The song talks about love and heartbreak, as compared to 1D’s more upbeat summer anthem “Best Song Ever.”
Niall Horan even acknowledged that the track is a departure for the fun-loving band. "This track is not actually one that we wrote this time. A good friend of ours and a songwriter called Jamie Scott who's in a band called Graffti6 – he wrote this song,” Horan told Capitol FM. “He's written a few for us before like ‘More Than This' and on the last few albums.”

“Story of My Life” is definitely closer to the sensitive “Little Things” sound of 1D that girls love. "He's written a lot with us on this album too. We were in Nottingham on tour when we were touring the UK back in February and March and we just came into a room one day and he was like 'I've got this song that I've written and I want to play you'. And we just fell in love with it the second we heard it,” Horan continued about their new track. "It's up there with the best that we've brought out but 'Story Of My Life' might just take it," Horan said about the new single. "It's a very passionate song and when you see the video that goes with it, it suits it as well.”
“Story of My Life” is off of One Direction’s new album Midnight Memories, which is set to hit stores in November. 1D is also set to play the American Music Awards on November 24 joining already announced artists such as Miley Cyrus and Florida Georgia Line.
