There was a lot of good fashion at the 2013 CMA Awards. Most stars kept the silhouettes simple, but added splashes of color for interest, and those are the looks we loved most.

Taylor Swift is a constant on best dressed lists, and with good reason. The singer’s two CMA dresses were huge hits. She spent the majority of the evening in a long red gown with an open back and a small amount of shine on the front (a nice nod to the glitz of country fashion’s past), but the navy dress she wore during her on-stage performance of ‘Red’ with Alison Krauss and Vince Gill was a huge win as well.

The short and sassy yellow dress that Kacey Musgraves wore to the awards fit perfectly with the message of her single ‘Follow Your Arrow,’ which she performed during the ceremony. The single may be controversial, but there is no denying that her canary yellow dress from designer Sally LaPointe was a hit.

Blake Shelton’s stealthy all-black and denim ensemble made the country Male Vocalist of the Year winner a star in the style department as well. He kept it more casual, which is perfect for Shelton’s personality and he pulled it off well.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw take the cake for the best couple in attendance. McGraw kept it simple with an ox blood red button-up shirt and grey slacks with his signature black cowboy hat, while Hill went Grecian in a white frock that had a sensual front cutout that didn’t take it too far.
