Every time a bell rings, a Hollywood exec wants to meddle with a film classic.
Nearly 70 years after the iconic "It's a Wonderful Life" hit theaters in 1946, a sequel is being developed, Variety reported.
The movie, which is being planned for the 2015 holiday movie season, will be called "It's A Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story"

"The storyline of the new film retains the spirit of the original - every life is important as long as you have friends," producer and co-screenwriter Bob Farnsworth told the trade publication.
Though original star Jimmy Stewart died in 1997, the actress who played his daughter, Kathryn Grimes, will return to play an angel, according to the report.
The film follows the cantankerous grandchild of Stewart's George Bailey, who is shown by an angel what the world would be like if he was never born.
The sequel will have a tough act to follow: the Frank Capra-directed original is No. 20 on the American Film Institute's list of the top 100 movies of all time.
