Anna Gunn has landed her first post-‘Breaking Bad’ role - a starring turn in Fox’s ‘Gracepoint,’ an adaptation of the British drama ‘Broadchurch.’
Anna Gunn from "Breaking Bad" has been cast as the lead female detective in the upcoming Fox series "Gracepoint."
An American version of the tense BBC drama "Broadchurch," "Gracepoint" is scheduled to debut next year.

Gunn will play the part made famous by Olivia Colman in the BBC drama ‘Broadchurch.’

Jacki Weaver, who recently starred in the film "Silver Linings Playbook," has also been signed for "Gracepoint."

Also joining the cast is Australian actress Jacki Weaver (pictured with Robert De Niro in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’).
In "Breaking Bad," Gunn played Skyler, the wife of Bryan Cranston's Walter White. She was previously known on television for a lead role in the HBO drama "Deadwood."

"Broadchurch," which played here on BBC America, was the story of a small town where a young boy is mysteriously murdered. It explores the aftermath, with the Gunn character as the lead local detective.
Fox is billing "Gracepoint" as a "limited event" series, which means it will run for a short, finite number of episodes.
