(PHOENIX) — Action star and martial arts expert Steven Seagal may follow in Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s footsteps and head for Arizona’s top office.
The Under Siege actor told ABC affiliate KNXV-TV that he is currently mulling over running for governor of Arizona. Seagal says he’s being courted by Maricopa County‘s controversial sheriff, Joe Arpaio, to run.
“Joe Arpaio and I were talking about me running for governor. I suppose I would remotely consider it,” Seagal said.
Seagal and Arpaio already teamed up to shoot the new reality series Steven Seagal — Lawman: Maricopa County, set to air in January on the Reelz Network.
