Meagan Green wears Mexx's electric blue jumper and tartan skirt

It was the turn of the high street favourites to take over the runway at the Ulster Museum for the second night of West Coast Cooler Fashionweek.

The sold-out show didn't disappoint the fashion-keen crowd, who looked oh so stylish in all their finery. Sipping on West Coast Cooler they oohed and aahed over the key looks for autumn/winter 2013 from Fashionweek regular, The Outlet in Banbridge, Designers at Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge, GAP, Dune, Burton, Exhibit, Blue Inc and popular city centre shopping centre, CastleCourt.

As if that wasn't enough, they were also treated to even more new collections from high street stores Marks & Spencer, Mexx, Jigsaw and Heatons, who all showcased beautiful, high-fashion looks.

The Outlet kicked off the show in spectacular style, showcasing a fabulous display of key pieces for autumn/winter.

One stand-out outfit was a stunning Armani Exchange white textured vest top, with blue tailored trousers and paint-splashed scarf from LK Bennett.

Making a big statement, the new season's coats are over-sized and everywhere.

A pale pink creation from Jigsaw summed it up perfectly – a shade that will most certainly give you a warm glow this autumn/winter.

If you're investing in anything this season, make it animal print of some sort. The catwalk had many key pieces, with a snake-skin jumper from Wallis at CastleCourt, worn with black skinny jeans and a red coat, also from Wallis, really making that statement. Why not go way out and wear it head to toe for traffic-stopping style.

Every collection was bold and vibrant, but the most noticeable of the night was the colour red.

Perfect for autumn and the festive season, it really is time to embrace it.

In tones of scarlet, cherry, coral and burgundy you can't go wrong, as there is a shade to suit every skin tone.

A red bodycon dress and fur stole from Oasis worked the look so well, but so did far too many others to mention.

Punk hit the catwalk in a rather trendy look from Asda, with a red tartan playsuit, grey t-shirt and grungy black jacket.

As the weather turns colder, we seek cosy comfort from our clothes and this of course means bringing out the winter woollies so it's no surprise this timeless winter staple popped up all over the catwalk, but Mexx's printed electric-blue woollen jumper really rocked this look.

Styled to perfection with an on-trend short blue tartan skirt, this look embraces two of this seasons hottest trends.

So, there you have it – a fabulous round-up of key autumn/winter styles. The high street has definitely been quick in making designer looks more affordable for all to wear this season – you name it, the high street has it!

Fashionweek fun continues with the free Fashion Souk – the popular fashion market for previously owned and vintage clothing – at Spires Mall.

This is followed by an intimate afternoon tea show hosted by designer emporium Cruise at The Merchant Hotel.

The show precedes the evening finale Fashionweek catwalk show, with fashion from both Northern Ireland's established and up-and-coming designers, as well as student collections from the Junk Kouture fashion recycling project. Also, tonight will see the announcement of the 2013 winner of the Diet Coke Design Awards.
