A child model has made it to the semi finals of a UK wide competition.
Hanna Hudson, 10, was chosen to compete in the Mini Upcoming Model Girl UK contest after her mum Sarah sent in her picture.
Sarah said: “Hanna is a model with a couple of agencies. I saw entries were being taken for the competition. I sent her picture off and with that she got straight into the semi finals.
The competition takes place in Cheshire on Sunday October 27.
Sarah said: “They will do a catwalk appearance where she wears a sash with her sponsor’s name on in, Aerialwaves. The sponsorship money goes towards running the competititon. They do a jeans and t-shirt walk and an evening wear walk. Off The Stand in Cleckheaton is making her dress.
“The final is on the same day so if they get through they win freebies worth £140. The winner gets prizes worth £2,000 and gets to keep the title for 12 months.”
Sarah said Hanna enjoyed modelling, but the Whitehapel Primary School pupil took her success all in her stride.
Hanna, who also goes to Centre Stage Dance School, has already had auditions for Babybel and hat designer Philip Treacy.
Sarah added: “She’s only been doing it 12 months so she’s done really well.
“She enjoys it, but she wants to be a vet when she grows up!”
Hanna’s success comes just weeks after her mum completed a coast to coast challenge in memory of her daughter Ella, who died 13 years ago , see story below.
