Lisa Niemi, the widow of Patrick Swayze, got engaged over Christmas, People reports.

Jeweler Albert DePrisco proposed to Niemi on Christmas Eve. The couple, who met at her birthday party, have been dating for a year and a half.
Niemi, 57, was married to Swayze for 34 years until he died of pancreatic cancer in 2009. Since then, she has written two memoirs, 2009's Time of My Life and 2012's Worth Fighting For.
